As summer draws to a close and a new academic year begins, it is with great excitement that we welcome you to Granada International Montessori School. After weeks of careful preparation, we are ready to embark on this new chapter, eager to share the journey ahead with all of you. A fresh school year brimming with possibilities awaits!
A Warm Welcome to the New Team Members
We are thrilled to introduce some new faces to our team and announce a few exciting updates among our teachers and assistants. Please join us in welcoming Alex and Eleftheria!
Many of you already know Alex from his dedication in the Morning Classroom and his invaluable support as an educational assistant. This year, Alex will take on the role of Assistant in Lower Elementary, where he will work alongside our beloved guide, Eloise Katts. With his C2 level English and his genuine kindness and commitment to our students, we are incredibly fortunate to have him on our team.
We are especially pleased to announce that Iria Rodríguez will now serve as the Pedagogical Coordinator of GIMS. Iria has become a cornerstone of our school, demonstrating unwavering dedication to the Montessori method and spreading her passion for this educational philosophy. Her clarity of vision and infectious energy are like a breath of fresh air, and we are certain she will be instrumental in guiding and strengthening our educational programs in this new role.
We are also delighted to welcome Eleftheria, who joins us as an Assistant in Children’s House. She will collaborate closely with Iria and Almudena, enhancing the experience for our youngest learners. Speaking of Almudena, we are excited to share that, in addition to her usual responsibilities, she will now lead the areas of art, Spanish language, and music in Children’s House, bringing her creativity and passion into full bloom.
Jose will head the Spanish Language and Culture area in Elementary, and this year he will introduce an exciting new approach to music education based on the Serclet system, an innovative method inspired by Montessori principles. We are proud to be ambassadors of this approach, which promises to deeply enrich our students’ musical education.
Carmen and Ruth will continue their wonderful partnership in Upper Elementary, where they have cultivated an exceptional synergy. Their classroom, completely renovated over the summer, is more welcoming than ever, and we are eager to see how they continue to create an enriching learning environment for our students.
A special thanks to Rafa for his remarkable work designing and assembling the custom shelves now gracing Children’s House. The transformation of the classroom this summer has been nothing short of extraordinary. We also want to acknowledge the tireless efforts of Roberto, Marta, and Olga, who worked diligently all summer to renovate the school. The results are simply spectacular, and every ounce of their hard work has paid off.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to Marisa for her unwavering dedication and skill in organizing and bringing clarity to our administrative area. Her ability to manage and coordinate, coupled with her ever-positive attitude, makes a significant impact on the day-to-day running of the school.
We must also acknowledge our cleaning team, whose work never goes unnoticed. We are deeply grateful to Silvia and Nadia for keeping the school in pristine condition. And a warm thank you to Zoulikha, whose love and care in the kitchen are felt in every meal she prepares.
We are beyond fortunate to have such a dedicated team, one that brings experience, energy, and enthusiasm to the table each and every day, helping to nurture the growth and curiosity of our children.
A Heartfelt Welcome to New Families and Students
To all the children, parents, and families joining our community for the first time, we extend a heartfelt welcome! We understand that beginning at a new school can bring a mix of emotions, but here you will find a warm and welcoming environment where every child is encouraged to learn and grow at their own pace. We look forward to getting to know you better and accompanying you on this exciting journey.
A Summer of Transformation
This summer has been a time of great transformation at our school. Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail is in place for the new school year. From refurbishing furniture to enhancing the garden, everything has been designed with one goal in mind: to create an environment that inspires creativity and curiosity in our children.
We’ve sanded, painted, and polished every corner, breathing fresh life into the space. We’ve also acquired new educational materials that are sure to captivate our students and enrich their learning experiences. The transformation has been remarkable, and we can’t wait for you to see the changes we’ve made.
A Promising Year Ahead
As we stand on the threshold of this new school year, we are filled with optimism. We know that this year will be one of growth, deep learning, and unforgettable moments for each and every one of our children. With a dedicated team, a supportive community, and a carefully prepared environment, we are ready to make this school year our best one yet.
Thank you for being a part of our community. Here’s to a school year filled with joy and success!
