The school you would have loved
going to as a child
Montessori school children think and act independently; they know how to work together, with team spirit.
Open-minded and adaptable; they are proactive explorers with a creative spirit and a love of learning.
They can communicate in English and Spanish; they show self-control, perseverance, and self-motivation.
They feel respect and empathy; they take responsibility for their actions and show self-awareness.
The Montessori approach is the essence of our school. This, for us, means much more than simply changing some aspects of the conventional model of education. It is a completely different way of learning and teaching, designed to prepare children for success. For these reasons, we believe Montessori schools are the education of the future.
3 TO 6 YEAR-OLDS
Montessori classroom materials and activities develop self-control, confidence, and perseverance through the areas of math, language, sensory development, practical life, art, and culture.
6 TO 12 YEAR-OLDS
The pace of learning in the different areas of the Montessori curriculum comes from the child’s own motivation and needs, and we encourage it through an environment rich in materials and activities that respond to their interests.
Granada International Montessori School provides a stimulating educational environment designed to foster a love of learning. The children have freely availale materials in their reach, and this allows them a high degree of independence in their work. This goes hand in hand with our philosophy of freedom within limits.
Moreover, the mixed-age groups provide a unique opportunity for them to learn from each other. This is a place where they can learn and develop at their own pace within a classroom environment with activities spanning a wide range of curricular areas and degrees of complexity, to satisfy the interests and needs of each child.
Granada International Montessori School recognizes parents as the first teachers in life.
Therefore, our goal is to collaborate with them to provide the best possible educational experience for their children.
