As we open the doors to this new school year, we are excited to share the strategic goals that will guide us throughout 2024-2025. This year, our efforts are focused on bilingual learning, professional development for our teaching team, and strengthening an active and engaged learning community. Through a review of our Growth and Improvement Plan, we have identified key priorities that will make a lasting impact on our educational work.
Our Key Goals for 2024-2025
Expansion of Bilingual Resources
Reading opens a window to new ideas, and this year, we aim to enrich that experience even further. To support literacy in both English and Spanish, we are introducing new reading materials focused on comprehension and bilingual workbooks. These resources will be available in classrooms starting in October, and we are excited about the connections students will make through them, discovering worlds in two languages.
Collaborative Teacher Development
One of the treasures of our community is the expertise and wisdom of our own teachers. Building on the success of our Professional Growth Plan, this year we are repeating peer observations. This opportunity allows teachers to observe each other and offer collaborative feedback, fostering a culture of mutual support and reflection that strengthens Montessori practices throughout the school. We firmly believe that growing together enriches us all and brings us closer to our mission.
Digital Literacy and Safety
We live in a digital age that, as we know, offers great opportunities but also brings challenges. We prepare our students for this landscape in Upper Elementary, providing them with tools to navigate the digital environment safely and responsibly, teaching them to make the internet a place of learning and respect.
