Great beginnings
Our Children’s House is designed for children aged 3 to 6, in a group that’s balanced in age, gender, culture, and language.
At this age, Montessori observed what she called the “absorbent mind”: children take in the world effortlessly, like a sponge. So the environment offers materials and activities that build concentration and inner discipline.
Areas of work
Practical Life
Everything starts here. Washing hands, walking carefully around the room, cleaning boots, baking bread: real tasks that children are drawn to. Without realizing it, they build self-control, confidence, and perseverance, along with the coordination they’ll later use in language and math.
Sensorial
Materials that help children make sense of what their five senses tell them. They learn to observe, compare, and spot patterns, and later to explore the foundations of geometry, algebra, botany, and geography. It’s where they begin to see themselves as citizens of the world.
Language
Language begins on day one. Children absorb everything they hear, so we surround them with a rich environment of stories, songs, games, language cards, and conversation.
Mathematics
Numbers start in the hands. Children explore quantity and volume with concrete materials, work through the four basic operations using large quantities, and move gradually toward abstraction.
Art and Culture
Art isn’t a separate subject. It’s woven through everything: reciting a poem, arranging flowers, making music, painting, laying out a snack beautifully.
Free Play
And there’s always time and space for free play, with movement at its center.

Together with Montessori Community Granada, a childcare center for children aged 0 to 3, we offer families one continuous Montessori path. Children who start with us early move from one stage to the next naturally, within the same philosophy and the same community.
